Destruction dawned upon thee
And disaster struck many a town.
Mankind grew to be numb and docile.
Bloodshed was common
And violence reigned supreme.
Nature took its course
And punished mankind for their acts.
Vengeance wreaked upon thy haven.
Thy haven so beautiful
And a monument of thine serenity.
Destroyed. Banished.
Mankind grew to be numb and docile.
Bloodshed was common
And violence reigned supreme.
Nature took its course
And punished mankind for their acts.
Vengeance wreaked upon thy haven.
Thy haven so beautiful
And a monument of thine serenity.
Destroyed. Banished.
- I recently stumbled upon this poem I wrote back when I was eighteen. I still wish I could write like this.
I love this. Do write more. :)
